VTT to TXT converter
Turn WebVTT (.vtt) captions — from Zoom or Teams recordings, YouTube, Vimeo or an online course — into a readable plain-text transcript.
Move subtitles by a fixed amount when every line is off by the same delay.
Seconds (2.5), milliseconds (1500ms) or a time (00:00:02,500). Subtitles appear too early → Later.
For subtitles that drift. Pick two cues far apart and enter when each should appear.
Rescale times when the subtitle was made for a video with a different frame rate.
The file open now is part 1 / language 1.

What changes when you convert VTT to TXT
Meeting and lecture platforms often export captions as WebVTT. The converter drops the header, cue identifiers, timing lines, cue settings and inline tags, and decodes entities like & so the text reads naturally.
Automatic captions repeat text across overlapping cues; run Fix → duplicates and overlaps first for a tighter transcript. Speaker voice tags (<v Name>) are removed — if names matter, keep them by converting to SRT instead.
With “include timestamps” on, each line starts with [hh:mm:ss], which makes it easy to jump back to the moment in the recording.
Example

FAQ
How do I turn Zoom VTT captions into text?
Open the .vtt transcript file here, choose Plain text as the output format and download. Each caption becomes one line.
Why are some lines repeated in my transcript?
Auto-captions often show the same words in two consecutive cues. Use Fix with “remove duplicates” and “fix overlaps” before exporting.
Are my subtitle and video files uploaded?
No. Files are opened and processed by JavaScript in your browser, on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, so unreleased or private material stays private.
