Split a subtitle file into two parts
Cut one subtitle file into two at a chosen time — to match a video that was split into two parts or to work on a long file in pieces.
Move subtitles by a fixed amount when every line is off by the same delay.
Seconds (2.5), milliseconds (1500ms) or a time (00:00:02,500). Subtitles appear too early → Later.
For subtitles that drift. Pick two cues far apart and enter when each should appear.
Rescale times when the subtitle was made for a video with a different frame rate.
The file open now is part 1 / language 1.

About this tool
If your video comes in two parts but the subtitles are one long file, the second part’s subtitles start far too late. Splitting at the exact time the first video part ends gives you two files, and with “Start part 2 at 00:00:00” the second file is rebased to match its own video.
Enter the split time, click a cue and use “Selected cue start”, or pause the loaded video and use the video time. Cues that start before the split time go to part 1 (a cue running across the split is trimmed to end there); cues that start at or after it go to part 2.
Splitting is also handy for long files: translate or proofread one half at a time, then join them again with Merge.
