- Rip 23 1/4″ from the 34 1/2″ × 48″ piece
- Rip 23 1/4″ from the 34 1/2″ × 24 5/8″ piece

Assumptions
- Case depth is 23 1/4 inches plus a 3/4-inch door, for 24 inches overall.
- Sides are full height including the 4 1/2-inch toe kick, which is notched out after cutting.
- Bottom and stretchers fit between the sides (24 − 2 × 3/4 = 22 1/2 inches).
- The back sits in 1/4-inch rabbets; the door has a 1/16-inch reveal on each side.
Planning tips
A single 24-inch base cabinet uses most of a sheet of 3/4-inch plywood. Build several at once and the savings from optimizing are significant: two cabinet sides (23 1/4 inches) fit across a 48-inch sheet with room for kerf, so a 4×8 holds four sides plus smaller parts.
Change the Qty column to the number of cabinets you are building and the optimizer will nest parts from several cabinets together. For different widths, only the bottom, stretchers, toe kick, shelf, door and back change; the sides stay the same.

FAQ
How many sheets do I need for a base cabinet?
With a 1/8-inch kerf, the optimizer places all 9 parts on 1 sheet of 3/4 Plywood and 1 sheet of 1/4 Plywood — 53.5% waste and 14 cuts. Change any size in the optimizer to recalculate.
Can I change the dimensions?
Yes. Edit any length, width or quantity in the parts list above and the layout updates instantly. Your changes are saved in your browser, and you can export the list as CSV or copy a link.
Does the cut list include the saw kerf?
The part sizes are finished sizes. The optimizer adds the kerf between parts when it lays them out, so you do not need to add it yourself.
