About concrete pixel art
Concrete is made by placing concrete powder next to water. Powder is crafted from four sand, four gravel and one dye, giving eight blocks — so large concrete builds need lots of sand and gravel. A concrete-powder converter (a simple water-line where you place and mine powder) speeds this up enormously.
Its flat, slightly darker colors make photos look crisp and graphic. Concrete is not flammable and needs a pickaxe to break, so it is the safest block for builds on shared servers. Black concrete is the darkest full block available, which helps outlines pop.
Watch out for gravity: concrete powder falls, so always convert it before placing it in your wall. The material list counts finished concrete; divide by eight to get the number of crafts.
Recommended settings
- Divide each count by 8 for the number of powder crafts
- Convert powder before building — it falls
- Best for photos and large permanent walls

FAQ
How many colors does the concrete palette have?
16 blocks. Each pixel of your image is matched to the closest of them in the CIE Lab color space.
How many blocks do I need?
One block per pixel: width × height. A 64 × 64 build needs 4,096 blocks — 64 stacks, or about 2.4 shulker boxes. The material list shows the exact count for every block, split into shulker boxes, stacks and leftover blocks.
Is my image uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your image never leaves your device, and there is no account or watermark.
