FAQ
How many blocks is 16 × 16 pixel art?
256 blocks. That is 4 stacks of 64, or about 0.1 shulker boxes.
How long does a 16 × 16 build take?
At 1,000–3,000 blocks per hour in survival, roughly 5–15 minutes of placing, plus gathering. Flat areas of one color are much faster than dithered ones.
What is the difference between pixel art and map art?
Pixel art is a wall or floor you look at directly. Map art is built flat on the ground and viewed through an in-game map, which shows each block’s map color. Map art uses a different palette and, in staircase mode, varies block heights to get lighter and darker shades.
